Occoal
Occoal, or OC coal, or sometimes OC gems, refers to (O)riginal (C)haracters created by a certain demographic of Ongezellig fans. Zaryan and Zelligger drawfags alike sometimes produce OCs. There are many possible reasons why someone would want to create an Ongezellig OC which include self-inserting, oppositefagging, expanding the Ongezellig world in one's own way, and other reasons. OC coalling is a captivating exercise in drawing a character and making der lore for xer fit in with the Schoppenboer sisters and the rest of the classmates (<- Nogugu does this). Occoal doesn't just have to be a young student, it could also be an adult, like a teacher from the school or a parent of the students.

Mats
Mats is an occoal created by Cam in a fan comic he made[1]. Mats is essentially Maya but a boy and people ship them together for some reason (maybe because he's a self-insert and many Zaryans are IRL Mayas). A relationship between two introverts brings its own challenges, and it's not like they'd be comfortable communicating with each other or even understand each other just because both have social anxiety. Zaryans consider him an OC gem which says a lot about Ongezellig OCs and or a lot about Zaryans. Here's a theory: Zaryans react negatively to female OCs but react positively to male OCs. Here's another theory: Zaryans relate to saderald social outcast characters because Zaryans are social outcasts, even the non-Mayafags.
Yana
Yana is an Israeli Jew created by Onion Dweller Again Again in his Ongezellig parody animation Mymy's Rival. Yana is an Israeli girl who wears a green soldier's combat uniform and a helmet with the Star of David painted on it. Her eyes are a deep blue, and her hair is a light tan. Her eyes are shaped like half circles most of the time because she's a smug bastard kike. Her skin color is pale which means she's an Ashkenazi Jew[she just is, ok?]. She has a sharp nose that protrudes significantly.
Anay
Anay is a Palestinian Mudslime created by Mr. Carhy[2]and featured in his Ongezellig parody animation Yana's Rival. She is derived from Yana. Her eyes are red and her hair is the same color as Yana's She wears a dark green camouflage combat uniform and helmet. She wears a green jihad headband and a black bandana mask. Her eyes are shaped like Yana's, but Anay has eyebags because all her friends and family were blown up in the Gaza strip which made her sad and tired[she just is, ok?]. Her skin color is orange-brown. Her nose is softer than Yana's and protrudes less.
Naya
Naya, not to be confused with NigMaya[3], is a Dutchman and a member of the Dutch Reformed Church created by a Zaryan[4]. She is Yana but White. Her eyes are green and her hair is blonde. She is even more tired than Anay. She wears a green forest camouflage combat uniform and a modern combat helmet. Her skin color is white because she is white[she just is, ok?]. Her nose is normal.
Ulla
Ulla is a German Nazi girl created by a Zaryan[5]. She has brown hair, red eyes, and white skin. She wears a brown suit, a short dress over the suit, and a wine-red tie. She wears a Nazi German armband. It is unknown whether she was made to be some sort of anti-Yana that isn't derived from Yana. She is probably meant to be a female Hitler.
Ivy
Ivy[6] is a Chinese-Dutch hapa girl. She has green eyes and yellowish skin and her hair is tan. She wears a white oversize shirt and a beige skirt. She may have been created by a Zaryan.
Elke
Elke is a German girl created by someonestolemymilk[7]. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and wears men's lederhosen like a tomboy. She resembles Coco quite a bit.
Nagy
Nagy Enikő is a Hungarian girl created by someonestolemymilk[8]. She burned her left eye as a child like an idiot, so she wore an eyepatch. She has dark magenta hair and green eyes and wears a brown military officer uniform with red details and brown boots.
Lisa
Lisa is a New England girl created by PatSharpie[9]. She has braided brown hair with green ribbons at the ends of each braid tail. Her eyes are brown. Her skin color is swarthy. She wears a blue jacket with a New England flag patched on the right shoulder and green pants. She wears red Vans.
Công
Công is a Vietnamese girl created by Mr. Carhy[10]. She has red-brown hair and magenta eyes. She wears a green military uniform with yellow epaulettes and the flag of the Republic of South Vietnam on the left shoulder, a green military cap, and a plaid scarf. She wears a red eyepatch with the hammer and sickle on it over her left eye. She and Nagy push the limits of how an Ongezellig OC should be designed. She used to have bright magenta hair.
Ghanshan Occoal
Ghanshan created some Ongezellig occoals. They were popular on Xitter.
Abla
Abla is an occoal created by Ghanshan[11], mate. She's Australian with brown hair, mate. She wears a blue long sleeve shirt, a brown vest, blue jeans, some black boots and a yellow handkerchief, she in't takin' the piss, mate, bloody proper lady ready for the bush. Her shirt has a kangaroo pictogram on its shoulder, mate. She's the fourth adoptive sister in the Schoppenboer family in der lore, mate, makin' that vegemite proper bung, bloody hardhead.
Nina
Nina is an occoal created by Ghanshan[12]. She's a mute Russian gopnik girl with white hair. She wears a blue cap and a blue tracksuit. She resembles Stan quite a bit due to their white hair of similar length and blue clothes and their similar lack of facial expressions. If you've never seen this character before, there is a good chance that you'd mistake her for Stan. She is the fifth adoptive sister of the Schoppenboer family in der lore.
Lola
Lola is an occoal created by Ghanshan[13]. She's a Mexican girl with brown hair dyed pink at the ends. She wears a black tanktop thing and a short black pencil skirt, a pink jacket, pantyhose and a fishnet, and peach boots. She wears pink glasses and some eye shadow. She's, like, a girl who says "like" a lot, like a valley girl, o algo. In der lore, she's the sixth adoptive Schoppenboer sister.
